Nee, aber ich denke, es hat etwas mit dem umseitig Geschriebenen zu tun. Dort heisst es:

"TOTAL HOTEL = x,xx €
Anzahlung von 20% vor 30/04/2006 = x,xx €
Saldo von 80% vor 15/06/2006 = x,xx € "

Wahrscheinlich hast Du dies auch unterschrieben mitgeschickt...

Habe gerade in meiner Visa-Abrechnung vom Juli gesehen, daß das Hotel irgendeinen Betrag XXX von meinem Konto bereits am 6.7.2006 abgebucht hat, d.h. vor einem Monat ohne Rechnung, Aufstellung der Details etc. .

Ich wüßte genau, was ich mit 30 x Betrag XXXX in einem Monat anfangen könnte.

Dies ist aus meiner Sicht nicht korrekt. Haben wir alle für so eine Vorgehensweise unterschrieben?

Sollte ich meine Karte sperren lassen? In Frankreich gibt es auch Falschgeld aus Geldautomaten !!!

You have just to call Fabiola or Nathalie (our contact at the hotel Novotel), specify that it's for the "Club E31" in order to benefit of the special price, and see with her how to pay. And this, really as quickly as possible if you want to be sure to have a room this summer and to pay 87€ instead of 134€.

New informations :

- the two "country buffets" at 50€ of thursday & friday are replaced by a 3 courses menu at 31€/pers (9.5€/child) with water, wine & coffee !!!

- the lunch on friday will happen at the Novotel Reims tinqueux with a 3 courses menu at 29€/pers (9.5€/child), and after the restaurant, visit of the champagne cellar Pommey at 7.5€/pers (5€/child).

Our “French vision” of a 8 meeting is a little different from yours, but we want to share with you this spirit of discovering an area and knowing better our impassioned neighbors of 8.

I just want to precise that all meals during the meeting are organized by the french team in order to have pleasant moments all together and discover the french gastronomy. So that's why menus that are proposed to you are a little more expensive rather than a simple meals.

I would like to clarify several points which appear important for me because it seems that a little conflict is near and we are not there for that. We want a meeting which proceeds in a good spirit of agreement and friendliness.

Firstly, I would like to make a point to specify the importance of the reservation of the hotel. We have made a big work to have a special price for the E31 Club at 87€/night instead of 134€/night, we have special prizes for meals and visits. Therefore, if you to wish to benefit from this special prizes, it's imperative to book and to pay in advance.

Secondly, concerning the meals ; I want to precise that the hotel works with fresh products and proposes to you a french cooking of gastronomy. So, we need to know precisely how many members want to have this meals. This is true for the Novotel Collegien and the Novotel Reims.

What's more, a special room is required for the diners of the 03rd and the 04th. So, if you have not reserved for this diners, you will not be with us, and then you will not be able to participate at a pleasant moment all together.

I hope this informations will help you to understand why us and the hotel put you under pressure to know what each one want.

Is there a day, when all cars coming together will be counted to break the Number of cars of an american meeting? I think I will be there on Sunday morning and come with u to the photo-shooting in Paris. I don´t have the money to stay in hotel all days, but I would like to meet you and stay there for a day.

Perhaps this is an option for some more members, which need the money for their car like me.

Some news that could be interesting for the registered members for the Meeting and for those who are not yet decided.

There is no obligations to follow the program that we propose to you point by point. If you prefer to eat another thing or elsewhere, not to make such or such event, and if you will stay just 2 or 3 days instead of 5 : no problems. You are free to do what you wish. We just want you to notch with a "X" on the form the events and meals where you will be.

We would prefer to be all together during all the meeting, but if you can come just for a few days or a few events, we prefer this solution rather than nothing.

So, you have just to call Fabiola at the hotel Novotel, specify that it's for the "Club E31" in order to benefit of the minus price, and pay the reservation by bank card. And this, really as quickly as possible if you want to be sure to have a room this summer.

Thomas, my English is not very good and my German is non-existent, therefore I am badly placed to correct your translation. But I think I have made a mistake by using the term "class car".
For me a "class car" is a car which has some class, which seems to be elegant and refined. I think, but I'm not sure, that you have understood by the term "class car", a "classical car" or a "collection car". The 8 will be a collection car after 20 years. I think now we're OK and I'm sorry that you have to stay in germany this summer.

P.S. Sorry, I have to say it, because we should staying on the floor (are this the right english words for this?): In germany the 8-series is not a class car. But it could be in 10 to 15 years?! I hope it.

I'm agree with you, it won't be a really very economic week-end between the distance and the meeting. For me, 800km from my home to Paris...

But I'm sure that the price is corresponding with the height of the program. It will be a great class week-end in a so beautiful city.

We have class cars, so we need to have a class meeting... from time to time. We could give us a little pleasure, no ? :grinsen1:

But if it's really too expensive, you can find you a less expensive hotel and take part in the events during the day. I prefer this solution rather than to see nobody to this meeting...

So, now, you have the choice, I'm not able to force you to come...
