Relais ABS absent

ASC+T was optional for cars with automatic transmission.
So it should stay in the original contract of sale of your car, as:
214 ASC+T

If you don't have the contract, your official BMW dealer should be able to print the list of the optionals of your car. All you need is the VIN number (Vehicle Identification Number) CB*****.

I don't have the contract, i have bought the car to a frenchman who has a previously bought the car in germany.
I've tried at my dealer, he can't access to the data because the car was german originaly. He can only access data to BMW sold in France.
My VIN number is CB10622 if someone can access to BMW data.

According ETM, if i have only ABS and ASC i must have the relay and if i have ASC+T and ABS, i didn't need to have the relay.
So, i must chek if i have ASC or ASC+T

Is there a sample way to check that?

What exact is your problem? Is your ABS without function, it is easy to test.
If your ABS is working, you have a relais. may be not at the place it should be,
but that doesn't matter, or?

But, why the ETM says that i must have a relay?
and why in the empty socket, i've 4 wires?

I've found a reference on ETK, 34 52 1 179 131.
Someone with a 850iA of 1992 could look at his front power distribution box?

I've the sport M chassis, so, maybe the previous owner have remove the abs relay for more sport?

I dont understand the problem....
Is there a mailfunction at the ABS,i dont think so,only a unused slot...

on your 840, K10 shoud be Servotronic, not ABS

I've a control lamp in the cokpit, yellow-on at startup and off when running.

I've connectors in the empty emplacement at positions 2,5,6 and 8 In ETK, i've found 61 35 8 365 325 Relay ABS/ASC+T but connectors didn't correspond

In ETM, model 1993 didn(t use this emplacement.
But in ETM model 1992, this emplacement is used for ABS. (my 850 was buid may 1992)

If that Relay K10 is really absent, it should cause a serious malfunction of the ABS system, therefore the contol-lamp in your cockpit should light.

As I believe you don't have any lamp burning, I really think this is absolutely normal and this empty place is just a kind of Place-holder (a sort of reserve).
BTW... why don't you just test it? You never did an ABS braking? :harhar:
All I can do is to watch myself in my car the next days... though I have an 840 and it could be a bit different...

Je viens de me rendre compte que le relais K10 correspondant à l'ABS est absent sur ma 850iA de 1992.
Les broches sont pourtant présentes à l'emplacement.

C'est pareil sur les votres, ou bien le precedent propriétaire l'a enlevé? (il n'aurait pas voulu de l'ABS?)

Qu'en pensez vous?
